Australia recently agreed to follow the terms of the Kyoto Protocol, which now means that the United States is the only major economy that has not joined the global movement to reduce carbon emissions. Although the Clinton administration agreed to the Kyoto Protocol, it was not ratified by Congress, and since then the Bush administration has rescinded Clinton’s agreement. Coincidentally, Bush also...

Went to DC this weekend. Enjoyed myself. Discovered the benefits and disadvantages of attending Georgetown (holy shit their off-campus housing is fucking amazing. holy shit their on-campus medical care, especially for girls, is fuuuucked up.) Realized I would very much enjoy living in DC after graduation. Hanging out with journalists for several days just made me realize how I love it so much more...

UMich rolled out a service last week that automatically informs students living in residence halls if they’re uploading files via peer-to-peer technology. The service, called BAYU (for Be Aware You’re Uploading), is being described by officials as an educational tool that keeps students aware of their online activity.
